2 Peter 3:18

As Spring is a season of growth, our desire is to see our church family reach out and grow in the "grace and knowledge" of our Lord Jesus through our Sunday School and outreach as a church family.  Which is why we will be starting our "Growing in Spring Emphasis" through the Sunday School this come Sunday (March 3rd).  As the pastor, I definitely want you wot be a part of this emphasis.  For there are people you know (friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, and others) that are not currently invovlved in any church who we need to reach out to an invite to Trinity Baptist Church in these days.

Yes, once more we have created the Red & Green Teams.  We divided our Sunday School Small Groups to add some fun to this effort as we try to encourage classes and age groups to compete in this outreach and attendance effort.  But it is important to remember our priority as always needs to be the people we reach-out to not the points.

This emphasis will run throughout the month of March ending on Easter Sunday.  This emphsis is not new to Trinity as it is an emphasis we enderwent in 2010.  At that time, we had record number of folks participating throughout the month and our highest attendance ever fo 295 for our Easter Sunday Morning Services.  As we did in 2010, the losing team will be responsible to helping to provide a special meal at the church for the winning team.

If you have any questions or suggestions let our church staff know.  Also, we will be going out on Tuesday evenings to make visits within our community.  We welcome anyone who would like to participate to join us.

This past Sunday Morning my message was about Andrew and how he helped bring others to Jesus.  My prayer is that God will use us all not just to invite people to church but introduce them to a loving relationship with the Lord Jesus.  Please pray with me for this special outreach effort for the whole church.  Lor for ways you can intentionally let God use you as a part of this effort.

1 Corinthians 10:31

Whatever you do, do all to the glory of god.

As we began 2024 the past month, I shared a word of challenge for this year which has been the focus of each message I have shared this past month.  That challenge simply stated is to intentionally seek to "Honor the Lord" in all we do!  We will be positioning ourselves to know and experience God's blessings in our lives and in our church!

So far, we have considered how we can and should Honor the Lord.  "Though our observance of the Lord's Supper", "Our Treasure,"  "Our Witness."  and "Honoring the Lord Through our Talents."

My intention is to continue this series as long as the Lord leads.  Doing all to the Glory of God in this year is the key to each of us personally and as a Church family.  Please continue to pray with me for this Lord's leadership as I work through this series of messages.  I would also encourage you to invite others to come join us.

When it comes to honoring the Lord in our relationship with Him, one of the areas that has the greatest impact on our commitment is our relationship with our family.   That is one of the reasons we are planning for a marriage retreat this spring.  It will be March 15-16 (Friday Night - Saturday) at Camp Paron.  The focus is going to be on "Spotting Toxiticity in Yourself & Others' with the goal of creating stronger emotional bonds between couples.  If you are interested or have any questions just let me know!

Join us on Sunday Mornings, 9:45 AM Sunday School and 11:00 AM Morning Service to honor and worship the Lord as a church family.

honoring the lord in 2024

Psalm 32:8 - I will instruct you and teach you in the way you shall go.  I will guide you with my eye.

As we move into 2024, my prayer is that we will allow the Lord to guide us personally and as a church family.  As Psalm 32:8 states, God promises that He will provide His guidance on 'one condition.'  That condition is that we allow Him to guide us with "His eye" . . . how does He do that?  God changes our lives, our world, and our circumstances in His Church when we are focused on him through prayer and seeking His face and will through His Word.

As 2023 came to an end we begin to prepare for 2024.  I believe the Lord has laid a Word on my heart that will be crucial to our experiencing God's leadership and blessing in our lives, our families, and in our Church no matter what 2024 holds.  I am looking forward to sharing with you and I would ask that you pray with and for me as I prepare to share His Word.  With the Lord's leading, the series will be "Honoring the Lord in 2024."

On January 7, 2024, we gathered for our first service in 2024.  We observed the "Lord's Supper".  It is my prayer that our observance of the Lord's Supper will always help us personally and as a church renew our commitment to the Lord.  Please pray with me that our eyes will be focused from the start of this New Year on the Lord as we allow Him to lead us in the ways He would have us to grow personally and as a Church.
