Matt Basford
Pastor
Matt Basford joins Trinity Baptist Church as Pastor, bringing with him a wealth of experience from pastoral roles in Florida, Alabama, and Arkansas. He is deeply committed to the truth that God's Word is our ultimate authority, and he passionately believes that Scripture is best lived out through authentic relationships. Known for his high energy, Pastor Matt has a genuine love for both the church and the surrounding community.
He has been joyfully married to his wife, Jennifer, since 1992. Together, they have raised four children and are now proud grandparents to a beautiful granddaughter. In his free time, Pastor Matt enjoys playing golf, fishing, and flying airplanes.

Michael R. Davis
Next Generation/Music Minister
Michael Davis is from Little Rock, Arkansas, and now lives in Benton with his wife, Keri. With more than 30 years of ministry experience, he has faithfully served churches across Arkansas in both Student Ministry and Music Ministry. Michael has a true heart and passion for reaching young people and adults alike with the music and message of hope and life found in Jesus Christ.
He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Louisiana State University at Shreveport (LSUS), a Bachelor of Business Administration from Strayer University, and has completed coursework in Church Music at Williams Baptist University. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration in Leadership at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia.
At Trinity Baptist Church, Michael serves as Next Generation & Music Minister, leading both the worship ministry and student ministry. In this role, he seeks to disciple the next generation, guide the church in Christ-centered worship, and create opportunities for spiritual growth across all ages.
Michael and Keri are blessed with four adult children—two sons, Jordan and Preston, and two daughters, Bay and Lindlee—as well as three grandchildren, Elias, Emira, and Silas. He believes that music breathes life into worship when God’s people lift their voices together to praise the name of Jesus. Drawing from his life experiences and personal struggles, Michael communicates with biblical truth, insight from God’s Word, and a touch of humor, making his teaching both engaging and impactful.

Freda Haynes
Office Assistant - Front Office
Freda Haynes was born in Grenada, Mississippi, and grew up in the small town of Coffeeville. In 1970, she married her husband, L.C. Haynes Jr., who was serving in the military. Together, they lived in many different places, including two tours in Germany, Ft. Knox, Kentucky, Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, and several other locations before eventually making Benton, Arkansas, their home.
In 1990, Freda earned an Associate Degree in Business from Draughon’s Business College. She went on to work in patient accounts for National Medical Rentals, which later became American HomePatient,
and eventually served as a QA Specialist.
She dedicated 21 years of service to this field.
Freda and her late husband, L.C., were blessed with three sons: Brad, Troy, and Matt. Their family has continued to grow with five grandchildren—Breanna, Brennan, Tylar, Ana, and Bailey—and three great-grandchildren, Brantley, Kayleigh, and Kobe.
For the past 12 years, Freda has served as an Administrative Assistant at Trinity Baptist Church. She has a true heart for helping others, and her role has given her the opportunity to faithfully serve both the church and the community she loves.
